Some good news
Barcelona midfielder Pedri has taken another step closer to a return to action after training with the first-team squad on Monday.
Pedri did some of the session after the team’s Copa del Rey win as he bids to recover from a muscle problem picked up before Christmas.
The midfielder has admitted he doesn’t yet know when he will return, and there are fears he will miss the Spanish Super Cup which is up next.

Barcelona will certainly want to be careful with Pedri given his recent injury history and will want to avoid a recurrence at all costs.
Pedri has been tipped to travel with the squad to Saudi Arabia even if he’s not quite ready. Barca face Osasuna on Thursday and will then play either Real Madrid or Atletico in the final.
Joao Cancelo is also an injury doubt for the competition, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Marcos Alonso, Gavi and Inigo Martinez will all miss out due to injury.
