The Dutchman is a free agent in the summer
Memphis Depay has issued a statement on his future amid ongoing speculation he will join Barcelona as a free agent in the summer.
The Netherlands international has posted the update on Instagram where he says he needs to make “important choices about his future” and will “negotiate future deals” with his team.
He also signs off by saying he will “decide my destination myself” and let us know when he has.

It’s a curious update from Depay who almost joined Barca in October but saw the move collapse late on. Ronald Koeman has said previously he wants Depay, but it’s not clear if Barca will still go for the attacker if the Dutchman leaves at the end of the season.
Depay will be a free agent which is bound to attract Barca due to the club’s financial problems, although the club is also being linked with a move for Sergio Aguero too.
