The deal would only become possible if AC Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League
Super agent Mino Raiola has reportedly offered one of his clients, Gianluigi Donnarumma, to FC Barcelona in order to get a new keeper and save money in the process.
Marc-André ter Stegen was reportedly considered “non-transferable” by the Catalans, but there is a chance that they could sell if a high enough offer came in.
If that were to happen, Donnarumma would be relatively cheap for a starting goalkeeper. However, Donnarumma would only leave AC Milan if they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Raiola reportedly will not sit down to extend the keeper’s contract, which expires in June, if they fail to finish in the top four of Serie A.
Milan must defeat Atalanta this weekend if they want to make sure they make the next edition of Europe’s premier competition. If that does happen, it’s expected their starting keeper will stay in Italy’s capital.
But, should they lose and miss out, he would leave on a free transfer and Milan would be powerless to stop him.
Ter Stegen is out three months currently after undergoing surgery to repair a knee injury.
