The goalkeeper has undergone a procedure on his knee
Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has undergone a procedure aimed at curing a knee injury.
The goalkeeper confirmed earlier this week he would miss Saturday’s trip to Eibar and this summer’s Euros after opting for further treatment on his troublesome knee.
Here’s Barca’s update:

Ter Stegen has also taken to social media to confirm all went well and he’s now focusing on getting back fully fit.
All went well today. Now the focus is on my recovery. Thank you all for your messages and support these past days.

There’s no indication from Barcelona how long Ter Stegen will be sidelined for, although a report in AS claims the goalkeeper will miss at least two months but should be fit in time for the start of the new season.
Back-up Neto is expected to take Ter Stegen’s place against Eibar in what could be his final appearance for Barcelona with a summer move on the cards. Inaki Pena is being tipped to take Neto’s place in the first-team squad next season.
