Luis Enrique has named a 24-man squad
Barcelona trio Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Pedri have all been included in the Spain squad for this summer’s European Championship.
Eric Garcia, who is expected to be a Barcelona player soon, also gets the nod as do former Barca players Thiago, Dani Olmo, and Adama Traore.
Luis Enrique has named 24 players for the tournament, and the main talking point is the absence of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos. In fact there are no Real Madrid players in the squad at all.
Here’s the list in full:

Lucho explained his decision to leave Ramos at home at a press conference on Monday.
“I want to send a message to Ramos, our captain. He’s not in the list as he hasn’t been able to compete or even train properly with the group since January. I told him last night on the phone. It was difficult but it’s best for the team,” he said.
“Any decision I made about Sergio Ramos would have been controversial. I know where I am, and accept there will be media noise.”
The Spain boss also explained his decision to only call up 24 players when he is permittined to have 26 in his squad.
“We are taking 24 players, most have picked 26, but we just added another striker (to 23) as we value a lot the feeling that each player can participate in any moment,” he said. “It’s also better to train with this number of players.”
Spain have friendlies against Portugal and Lithuania scheduled for next month before they kick off their tournament against Sweden on June 14. Lucho’s team also play Poland and Slovakia in Group E.
