The Celta boss spoke ahead of Saturday’s match

Celta coach Oscar Garcia has admitted he’s hoping Barcelona have an off day at Balaidos tomorrow in La Liga and also admitted wants to keep hold of loanee Rafinha.

Barcelona beat Celta 4-1 at the Camp Nou earlier this season but has wobbled on their travels IN 2019-20 and have been beaten five times already.

Celta head into the match on the back of wins over Alaves and Real Sociedad but Garcia is still hoping his team catch Barca on a bad day.

“Well, all games have to be played. It is evident that they have players who aspire to everything and that they have a player who is different from the rest. Let’s hope they don’t have a good day.”

Garcia also spoke about Rafinha, who has spent the season on loan at Balaidos, making 23 La Liga appearances and scoring four times. There’s been speculation Celta will try and make the move permanent and the boss admitted he hopes he “will stay here for many years.”

The manager is certainly set to stay for a little while longer. Celta confirmed on Friday that Garcia has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
