Could the Arsenal man be on the move?
Barcelona are reportedly back in for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as they are struggling to land Lautaro Martinez from Inter.
The Lautaro deal is complicated because Barcelona don’t want (can’t afford) to pay his €111 million release clause that is in place until July 7.
Inter have not been interested in any of Barca’s offers so far which means the Catalans may look again at Aubameyang, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. Interestingly, the Arsenal striker is also thought to be a target for Inter if Martinez does leave.
Aubameyang has just turned 31 but has been in prolific form for Arsenal this season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions for the Gunners.
There’s also a suggestion he could be tempted to leave this summer if his recent comments are anything to go by.
“Recently I have not received an offer to extend. But of course we have had exchanges with the club, for a fair few months now. And they know very well why so far nothing has happened. They have the keys. Up to them to do their work and after that we will see how things go.
“As you said it is a turning point in my career, and I will be very frank with everyone, it will certainly be a very difficult decision to make. Because I still have not decided and we will see. It will maybe be the most important decision of my career.”

Manager Mikel Arteta has said he’s “pretty positive” about agreeing a new deal with Aubameyang but the club may need a strong end to the season to have any chance of convincing him to stay.
Their first two Premier League games back have yielded defeats to Manchester City and Brighton and they have a tough looking run-in with games against Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham and Liverpool still to come.
