The champions head to Balaidos on Saturday
Barcelona return to action on Saturday afternoon away at Celta in La Liga, and Quique Setien’s starting XI for the match will make for interesting reading.
Youngsters Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati are pushing for starts after impressing in midweek, while Sergio Busquets is suspended and Frenkie de Jong still injured.
Let’s look at how they might line up:
Defence
It’s difficult to see too many changes in defence unless Setien decides any of his players are in need of a rest. In goal Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be going for a sixth consecutive clean sheet.
Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet should continue in the middle, although Ronald Araujo and Samuel Umtiti are both available if required. Jordi Alba and Nelson are expected to start again on the flanks with Sergi Roberto a doubt.
Midfield
There will definitely be changes in midfield with Busquets and De Jong out.
Puig is pushing hard for a start after an impressive cameo in midweek, while Ivan Rakitic could get the nod following his midweek winner.
Arturo Vidal looks set to continue in midfield but remains on four yellow cards and one more will see him suspended for the visit of Atletico Madrid.
Attack
Lionel Messi will go into the game still chasing his 700th career goal. The captain will need resting at some point but it’s difficult to see Setien dropping him just yet.
Luis Suarez could return to the bench after starting the last two games following his injury lay-off, while Antoine Griezmann is on a poor run of form with just one La Liga goal in 2020.
Setien could hand Martin Braithwaite another start, and it would be no surprise to see Ansu Fati also given the nod.
Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Rakitic, Vidal, Puig; Messi, Braithwaite, Ansu.
