WATCH: Highlights FC Barcelona-Las Palmas Without Commentary

Just a taste of what it was like on the pitch with no crowd.

FC Barcelona played their match against UD Las Plamas without any fans in attendance, they say as protest against the actions of the Spanish police towards those participating in the Catalan referendum.

That meant that, aside from the commentators, the only thing the TV audience heard were the players, coaches, and the small amount of other attendees.

However, this video uploaded by La Liga has no commentary. This is the somewhat eerie sound of the players just playing.

You’ll hear every “arriba”, every “orden”, every “uyy”, every “vamos,” every “GOL”, and of course every curse word.

My favorite though, is at 49 seconds, with Messi cutting in. Someone yells at the Las Palmas player, Jonathan Viera - “paralo, PARALO!” or “stop him, STOP HIM!” I can imagine Viera thinking “stop Messi? Oh sure! Why did I not think of that! Thanks for the tip!”

Messi leaves Viera behind with ease, though his shot is saved. What was the thing you heard that most stood out to you during the match?
