Ernesto Valverde has called 20 players for Saturday’s visit to San Mamés
The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana face a very tough trip to the Basque Country for a La Liga game against Athletic Bilbao, and Ernesto Valverde has called 20 players for the trip, with 18 of them selected to be in uniform tonight.
This is the full squad:

Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 14. Javier Mascherano, 18. Jordi Alba, 19. Lucas Digne, 23. Samuel Umtiti, 39. David Costas
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 6. Denis Suarez, 15. Paulinho Bezerra, 20. Sergi Roberto, 21. André Gomes, 30. Oriol Busquets

Andrés Iniesta (thigh) and Thomas Vermaelen (hip) were the latest to join the injury room, which is getting bitter by the minute. That’s six players with fitness problems now, which leaves exactly 18 first teamers available for selection to face Athletic. The good news is that Jordi Alba is back from a muscle problem, and Valverde has called two youngsters to be part of the squad: midfielder Oriol Busquets and defender David Costas.
