Ronald Koeman doesn't forget his winning years with Barcelona, and Culés don't forget his free-kick goal in extra-time to win the Blaugrana''s first UEFA Champions League in 1992 at Wembley Stadium. The current Southampton coach is still paying a lot of attention to what's going on with the Catalan giants, and he gave an interview to Spanish radio '4G' to share his take on the current state of the club.
The Dutch manager spoke about the difficult start to Barça's season, the injury to Lionel Messi, Luis Enrique's work and even hinted at a future return to Catalonia as a coach. Here's a few highlights:
"Everybody expects the absolute best from this team, to play at its best and win every game without any problems. This season's star has been more difficult, they have conceded a lot of goals but still play with a lot of character. Even more so, playing without Messi is complicated. It takes time to figure things out without him. Messi can dribble, defend and decide games all by himself. Now players like Suárez and Neymar need to step up.
"You can't do better than the Barcelona team with Pep Guardiola, but what counts is the titles and there are very few coaches who were able to achieve what Luis Enrique did last season. I admire him.
"If I ever come back to Spain to coach a team, Barça is my only choice. If not, I'll stay in England. As of right now, I'm very happy to be here."

I'd want Koeman to coach Barça one day. What he does with Saints, to lose the best players every season and still make it a competitive and attractive football team year after year is simply amazing. One can only imagine what he could do with one of the strongest squads in the world.
