Luis Suárez and Thomas Vermaelen set to play at Barcelona's weekend game

Very good, important news for coach Luis Enrique and Barcelona as the team prepares for its return from the international break.

Luis Suárez and Thomas Vermaelen, listed as doubtful for the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, trained normally with the squad since Wednesday and will feature for the Blaugrana, according to reports from Catalan media.

The Uruguayan striker had a muscle discomfort and spent most of the international break going through physical therapy in order to be ready for the game at Camp Nou. There was a bit of concern about his condition after a huge amount of minutes played in a short span last month, but the two weeks without games were crucial to get him fully healthy for the next stretch of important matches.

Vermaelen, perhaps the best defender of Barça's young season, suffered a calf strain against Atlético Madrid almost a month ago, and hasn't featured since. After the internationals went away, however, he started training with more and more intensity, and the latest practice sessions showed that the Belgian center-back is also completely available for selection.

Now it's up to Enrique to decide whether or not to start the two players right away against Rayo or to take the more cautious approach since there's a stretch of three games in nine days coming up, but El Pistolero and The Verminator are certainly ready for battle.
