On Juventus special open day to train and talk in front of the media, one important member of the bianconeri squad, Claudio Marchisio, spoke on a press conference in which he discussed how difficult it will be to defend Barcelona's scary trio of Luis Suárez, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The midfielder also mentioned the importance of star striker Carlos Tévez to his own team, and highlighted what his team needs to do in order to lift the Champions League trophy next Saturday. Here's a few highlights from UEFA's website:
"We have to stay focused. We know we are facing an important team with three exceptional forwards who have scored 120 goals this season.
"Since Carlos Tévez has come here he has been exceptional. He is an important part of our attack. Tévez has enabled us to make that step up in quality. He works his socks off for the group and is key for us.
"As a child, I saw Juventus lift the title in 1996 [against Ajax in Rome], and unfortunately also witnessed the defeats since. We know how much the fans want it, but also the club itself. We need to be aware that in a final the chances of winning and losing are 50/50, but we want to give it a good go, right until the end.
"Both Andrea Pirlo and Xavi Hernández are class acts. They are a great example to follow.
"We're certainly not scared of taking them on. We're happy at having earned such an important occasion and there's the right tension in the camp. If we think back to the start of the season nobody would have had us down as finalists and here we are. We'll be calm in our build-up and aim to prepare for the game as best we can.
"We have plenty of respect for Barcelona, who have a phenomenal strikeforce that's scored 120 goals. Having said that we're an organised side with a tight-knit group and great heart. We'll go out there and play in a carefree manner, aware of the qualities we have.
