We take a look at how the goalkeepers fared.
These ratings are given to players based on their performance during the 2014-15 season and range from A+ (the best) to F (the worst). They are given based on how well they performed the role they were given, so they are not absolute but relative to expectation.
Marc-André ter Stegen
Games: 21 | Wins: 19 | Draws: 0 | Losses: 2
Clean Sheets: 10 | Goals Against: 11 | Saves: 52 | Shots Faced: 67 | Save Percentage: 77.61%
Ter Stegen is only 23, and this was his first year at a club the size of Barcelona, but the German delivered in spades. He began the season with a poorly timed injury that possibly denied him the chance of starting any Liga games, but he was brilliant in the Copa del Rey and Champions League, winning both. It's crazy to think Ter Stegen won all but two games, and that he had almost as many clean sheets (10) as goals conceded (11), but it's a credit to his work, as well as the team's ability to defend. It's even more impressive when you consider many of these games were against the very top teams in Spain and Europe.
Grade: A
Claudio Bravo
Games: 37 | Wins: 30 | Draws: 3 | Losses: 4
Clean Sheets: 23 | Goals Against: 19 | Saves: 71 | Shots Faced: 89 | Save Percentage: 79.78%
Many thought Bravo was going to just be "the new Jose Manuel Pinto", an experienced backup to use occasionally. Bravo was not hyped as much during his time at Real Sociedad and playing for Chile. He was seen as good but not particularly great. How wrong they were. Bravo started every Liga match except for the last one, which didn't matter as he was already a champion. He put in some huge performances during the course of the season, notably against Valencia and Real Madrid, and finished with significantly more clean sheets than goals against. Both keepers were great, but perhaps Bravo managed to somehow outperform the brilliant Ter Stegen. He definitely, in any case, exceeded all expectations.
Grade: A+
Jordi Masip
Games: 2 | Wins: 1 | Draws: 1 | Losses: 0
Clean Sheets: 0 | Goals Against: 3
Masip was the third keeper and got very little meaningful action. A good keeper at Barcelona B, he must be disappointed to let in three goals in just two games, though he was perhaps not at fault for any of them.
Grade: Incomplete, no grade
