Las Palmas will be playing in La Liga next season for the first time in 13 years after beating Real Zaragoza on away goals in the Segunda playoff final -- 12 months after missing out in exactly the same fashion. Zaragoza were leading 3-1 following the first leg but Las Palmas turned things round on home soil to seal their return to the top flight with a 2-0 victory on Sunday night.

Las Palmas’ former Spain international Juan Carlos Valeron has reflected on returning to La Liga – at 40. Bacca, 28, has been linked with a summer transfer after scoring 20 La Liga goals last season, with Liverpool reportedly interested in his services. However, Sevilla are determined to keep hold of the Colombia international, who signed for them from Club Brugge in 2013.
