Andrés Iniesta comments on injury: "Not being in Berlin never crossed my mind"

Andrés Iniesta was briefly a doubt for Barcelona as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League Final against Juventus next Saturday, but according to the co-captain, he will not miss the biggest match of this season.

Along with Iniesta, Xavi and Sergio Busquets spoke to the press on Tuesday's Open Media Day. Check out their quotes below:

Xavi

"For me it's a spectacular end to my Barça career. I want to end it by winning. It's not the end of an era. I'm leaving but this generation is staying. I'm sure Barça will continue to be competitive and make history.

"My favorite Champions League campaign is the one which ended in Rome [against Manchester United in 2008/09], it allowed me to make up for not having played in Paris [against Arsenal in 2006]. This one is special too because it is my last as a Barça player, and I want to end my career with a trophy."

Iniesta

"I had a bit of discomfort but the thought of not being in Berlin never crossed my mind.

"The image of Xavi Hernández lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy would be the perfect goodbye for him, for Barça, and for all his team-mates.

"Being considered the favorites is not important for us, we have a very tough team in front of us that possess a lot of talent, and who know how to defend very well. We are in the final and this is the last hurdle but it'll be very difficult to overcome it. We don't consider ourselves as favorites at all.

"[Andrea Pirlo] is a unique player because of the influence he has always had, and the way he helps the team play. He is a reference for everyone who wants to play football - he epitomizes good play. In any move he can pull apart the opposition team with a pass.

"For me it has been a priviledge to share all these years with Xavi. He is the number one playmaker."

Busquets

"I think that [Lionel] Messi could score the goal he scored against Athletic against any team.

"Juventus are a side who play in a different way to the teams we have met so far in this campaign. Juve have a spectacular midfield, who are doing great at international level. We will try to be better than them."
