Report: Barcelona and Everton FC agree deal for Gerard Deulofeu

As the Gerard Deulofeu Saga rolls on, a return to a familiar site seems very likely now.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona and coach Luis Enrique still think that the 21-year-old is not ready to join the Catalan giants next season, and they want to move him again on loan for one more year, this time as a type of ultimatum: "you either get better, or you won't play for us anytime soon."

But Deulofeu, as he has said in the past, does not want to get loaned again. He has an ultimatum of his own: "Either you call me back now or sell me", but according to the reports, the only place he would accept being loaned to is his Premier League home, Everton.

At the Land of Beatles, Deulofeu had a wonderful time, personally and on the field. Roberto Martínez, manager of The Toffees, has a great relationship with the young Spanish forward, and he repeatedly said he wanted another chance to work with Deulo again to help his development.

On Monday, the two teams have agreed to a transfer deal. Everton will sign Deulofeu for €6 million and sign a four-year deal with the player. For the first three years, Barcelona has the priority to buy the forward back, with an increasing fee on each year, reaching €14 million in the final year. If they don't exercise the option in any year, Everton can sell him wherever they want, or keep him if he performs well.

The deal is not official yet, but sources told Barça Blaugranes that the agreement is very likely, and it could be announced on Tuesday.
