Good luck, Ibi.
Ibrahim Afellay's Era is over. It was common knowledge he was not part of Luis Enrique's plans, but now Afellay has somewhere to go.
It's Greece's Olympiacos, sources told Barça Blaugranes. In fact, the Dutch is already in Greece going through medical testing. If he passes, his three-year contract will be signed today and the official announcement comes on Sunday. Although a fee will be probably undisclosed, some reports say it is around €1.5 million, half of the price Barça paid three and a half years ago.
Afellay scored only two goals in his non-successful Barcelona career, but he was part of the squad that won everything with Pep Guardiola in 2011, so he has some titles to his credit. His stint as a Barça player was destroyed by injuries, and he only got to play 35 matches in Blaugrana uniform.
'Ibi' will now join former Barça legend Eric Abidal, who signed with Olympiacos in July. Good luck, Afellay!
