He's nothing but happy with the win.
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is extremely happy with his team's win over Villarreal in a tough match at El Madrigal. At the press conference after the game, Lucho congratulated his players for their effort, and also gave Sandro Ramírez his praise for scoring the late game-winner.
Here's a few highlights of his answers:
"The effort from the players was amazing. We knew it was going to be a hard match to win, but they never stopped fighting. They did it until the end. We had faith in the win and this result deserved to come our way.
Villarreal played really well, but we never lost composure despite of their pressure. We also created great chances, even though the pitch was in a really bad condition. But we played through it.
It's very gratifying for me as a coach to give the young guys these chances and see them make the most out of it. I'm really happy with how Munir and Sandro have been helping us. I'm sure Sandro is happy about scoring the game-winner in his First Division debut, as he should be.
But we also need to keep our heads in the right place. We haven't done anything yet. We took two steps in the right direction, but there's still 36 steps to be taken. But, winning such difficult matches like these make us feel happy and proud, and optimistic. But there's still a lot of work to be done, and we know it. For now, we can celebrate. It was a very good win."
Good job, Lucho. Good job, Barça.
