FC Barcelona Set to Offer Munir El-Haddadi Contract Extension

Time to improve his deal

Munir El-Haddadi is the new Barcelona young star. After an impressive showing in the pre-season, the 18 year-old La Masía prodigy made a fantastic La Liga debut for Barça, scoring one of Barcelona's three goals against Elche.

Evidently, being so young and good catches the eye of other teams. Real Madrid, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are just some of the sides that wanted Munir since he was a kid. Now that he's a first team player and doing really well, it's important for Barça to make sure that they'll keep the golden boy, or at least get the biggest ammount of money in a future transfer. And they will do that.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Marca and Sport, Barça sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta, has informed Munir that the club will draw him a new and improved contract that will replace the current one, that ends on 2017. But the new deal will not just be longer, it will be incredibly expensive. According to the reports, Barça will raise the current buyout clause, of €12 million, to about €55 million. That ammount can get even higher if Munir meets certain expectations, like number of goals and appearances, among other bonuses. Putting it simple: if he becomes a superstar, it will take an immense ammount of money to take him out of Camp Nou.

Munir's agent is currently on vacation, but the negotiations start next month, and Barcelona will do everything they can to guarantee that their new golden boy is actually worth gold.
