A big three points for García Pimienta’s men
Alex Collado scored the only goal of the game on Sunday as Barcelona B won 1-0 away at Cornella in the team’s final fixture of 2020.
The midfielder captained the side with Inaki Pena, Konrad de la Fuente, Arnau Comas and Ilaix Moriba all starting at the Camp Municipal de Cornellà.

It didn’t take long for Collado to make an impact. The midfielder netted what turned out to be the winner after just 14 minutes of the clash with a brilliant free-kick.

Cornella came straight back at Barca B but struggled to create clear-cut chances and almost conceded a second when Konrad de la Fuente teed up Ilaix for a low shot that beat the goalkeeper but clipped the post.
The second half saw plenty of pressure from Cornella but the hosts could not manage to find a way past Pena in Barca B’s goal as Francisco Javier García Pimienta’s men hung on for a big win.
It’s now two in a row for Barca B, and their first on the road this season, which is enough to move them into fourth place in the table after nine games played and just three points behind leaders Gimnastic.
