It wasn't the best afternoon for Barcelona, but coach Luis Enrique was not upset in his post-match interview, unlike what some maybe thought. The Asturian manager was certainly sad with the defeat against Sevilla on Saturday, but he focused on the incredible number of chances created by his players. But once again, they couldn't convert, and that was crucial for a negative result.
Lucho also didn't enjoy the crazy, counter-attacking style of the first half, and called for improvement in the passing department, as well as the shot accuracy. Here's a few highlights from Enrique's postgame presser:
"It is almost unbelievable that we leave the game with only one goal after seeing such clear-cut chances against the rival like we did today.
"We had very bad 10 minutes in the second half that harmed us and Sevilla took advantage of it and scored twice. They were superior at that moment, didn't waste their chances and I can only compliment them for all their effort and a great result.
"I can't give you an exact opinion on what happened in this game. It was very intense; I have to watch it again without distractions to see exactly what went on. What I know is that both teams had plenty of chances to score and it was a great game.
"It's not bad to have these types of counter-attacking games because we have two very talented attackers who can take advantage of these situations, but in general, it's clear that we want to have games with better ball control.
"We are definitely not at our best in terms of shot accuracy, but the numbers will change soon, I have no doubts about that.
"There is no way anybody can be satisfied at Barça after losing a game. We need to improve."
