The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana continue their La Liga run with one of the most difficult fixtures on the schedule: a visit to the Andalusia for an encounter with Sevilla, a game in which the Catalans have had success in recent years, but always features a hard-fought game from the hosts. And coach Luis Enrique has selected his strongest available squad.
Unfortunately from him, the injury plague left him only fourteen available first team outfield players for the trip to Seville. Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta are the latest injury absentees, joining Thomas Vermaelen, Adriano Correia and Rafinha Alcântara as the players unable to play on Saturday due to physical problems. But there is good news, since goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is medically cleared and fully available for selection.
To complete the squad, Enrique had to call up two players from Barça B. Gerard Gumbau will be in uniform once again, as has been the case lately. And to the surprise of many, Sergi Samper will not be traveling to Seville, with Lucho deciding to select midfielder/winger Juan Cámara. These are the eighteen men named by the coach for the clash with the Rojiblancos:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Claudio Bravo
Defenders: 2. Douglas Pereira, 3. Gerard Piqué, 6. Dani Alves, 14. Javier Mascherano, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 20. Sergi Roberto, 27. Juan Cámara, 28. Gerard Gumbau
Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 11. Neymar Jr., 17. Munir El-Haddadi, 19. Sandro Ramírez
Projected Starting Lineup (4-3-3);
Bravo; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Roberto; Munir, Suárez, Neymar
Bench: Stegen, Douglas, Bartra, Mathieu, Gumbau, Cámara, Sandro
