Good news for Barcelona on Thursday's training session as the Blaugrana prepare to face Sevilla on Saturday.
Jordi Alba, who had been ruled out ten days with a hamstring injury about a week ago, has been cleared to full contact training. He joined the first team in today's practice, and although he hasn't been declared fit by the medical services yet, all signs point to the full-back making his return against Sevilla.
Four Barça B youngsters, Sergi Samper, Gumbau, Munir El-Haddadi and Sandro Ramírez, also took part in the training session, as coach Luis Enrique slowly attempts to integrate the two squads more, giving the B-teamers a bit of experience with the big boys.
Jordi Alba's backup, Adriano Correia, stepped up to the plate during the starter's absence, and had some pretty strong performances against Celta Vigo and Almería, defending well and providing support to the attack. He's no Alba, but he worked hard and didn't compromise his team in any way.
But now the monster is back. Alba's return is vital for Barça, since the Blaugrana now face a death row of a four-game stretch, against Sevilla, Valencia and Paris Saint-Germain (twice). It's good to have everybody.
Welcome back, Alba. Have fun being you.
