Are you getting nervous? La Liga has entered its final stage, with only eight games left to go. Right now, Barcelona has the keys to the castle, riding a four-point lead over Real Madrid, and winning out means winning the title. But, as Saturday's match-up against Sevilla shows, winning out is not going to be an easy feat to accomplish.
Facing the Rojiblancos at their home is never an easy task, but it is going to be even more difficult tomorrow. Sevilla hasn't lost in over 45 days, and they've won six straight league matches. Carlos Bacca is a really good scorer, and the rest of the team is solid enough to cause problems to anybody. Their set-piece game will test Barça's improvement on that area, and the Blaugrana will have to play their A-game if they want to leave the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium with a victory.
Luckily for coach Luis Enrique, he has his favorite squad at his disposal. Jordi Alba has been declared fully fit by the medical services, and he should make his return on Saturday. He is part of the 18-man squad named for the match. Not on the squad is Thomas Vermaelen, who's still recovering from injury, along with Jordi Masip, Martín Montoya, Douglas Pereira and Sergi Roberto, out per coach's decision.
These are the eighteen men named by Lucho for the match:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Claudio Bravo
Defenders: 3. Gerard Piqué, 14. Javier Mascherano, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 21. Adriano Correia, 22. Dani Alves, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 6. Xavi Hernández, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 12. Rafinha Alcântara
Forwards: 7. Pedro Rodríguez, 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr.
Expected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):
Bravo; Alves, Piqué, Mathieu, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Messi, Suárez, Neymar
