The Catalans left the field on a sour note after failing to put away their Andalusian rivals despite going up 2–0 in the first half hour, eventually conceding the tying goal to Sevilla’s Kévin Gameiro with eight minutes left to play.

"It doesn’t matter if it’s fair or not, it is what it is and it’s not changeable," said the coach, noting that "it’s okay, we’re still in first place." The coach reiterated that he believes that the league championship will not be decided until the end. "Last year the league was decided on the last day. This year we are leaders before that."
