The Road to Berlin will go through Germany for Barcelona. The Blaugrana have been drawn with Bayern Munich in a special, giant semifinal tie that will catch the attention of every football fan. And especially for one man, the two games will be extra-special.
Pep Guardiola, the most successful manager in the Catalan club history, will return to Camp Nou as a coach for the first time since leaving the club in 2012. Adored by the fans, who still clamor for his return to the sidelines, Guardiola is certainly going to have an emotional night when he comes to Barça's hallowed ground, almost exactly three years after being in it for the last time.
In a press conference on Friday, the Bayern manager comented on the draw, and what is in store for him and his team during the two clashes. The message is simple: he has the utmost respect for the Blaugrana, not only as an institution but as a football team, and he thinks Luis Enrique's club is the "best in the world right now". Check out other highlights of his answers:
"Barça was a possibility among the three, and the fact that they got paired with us makes this semifinal more special. It will be a very special match for me, Thiago Alcântara and my staff. I've spent my life at Barcelona, that is my home. There's nothing else to say.
"Barça is as great of a team as we are. We need to test and analyze what we can do in each of the two matches. We will attempt to create the best defensive scheme to contain Lionel Messi.
"If we go to Camp Nou and make the same mistakes we made [at Porto], the tie will be decided right there in Barcelona.
"Luis Enrique is making me very happy. It's his first year and he already can win the treble. Amazing."

I'm sure we can do a pre-game tribute to Pep and everything, but after that it is business. We love you, Guardiola, but we're going out there to kick your ass."
