The former leader keeps going down, while the Blancos seem unbeatable right now.
After 10 rounds, the 2014/15 edition of the Spanish Football League is one of the best and most balanced ever. The distance between the leader and the seventh ranked team is only six points, one of the smallest gaps of this century at this point of the competition. La Liga seems impossible to predict right now, and that is simply awesome.
One more awesome thing is Real Madrid. The Blancos won their last 11 matches in all competitions, and lead La Liga for the first time this season. Cristiano Ronaldo is going bananas, James Rodríguez is a huge part of the team, and Toni Kroos is the best midfielder on the planet.
Their biggest rivals are in a totally different situation. After winning seven of their first eight games, while keeping a clean sheet in all of them, Barcelona are going down in the standings. Two losses in a row meant losing the lead, and dropping to fourth place. After setting a record for matches without conceding, Claudio Bravo and his men have allowed four scores in two games, losing both of them. Barça just lost their best defender to injury, and they need to start winning again before the league goes out of hand.
This is how the La Liga table looks like after 10 jornadas:
