Varane, who played in Real Madrid’s 4-0 win over Sevilla last week, reportedly picked up the injury while playing for France against Russia at the Stade de France on Tuesday. Spanish newspaper Sport tweeted that Varane would not be able to play in Saturday’s clash, while Eurosport Spain reported that the defender "did not train with the rest of his team-mates due to problems with his calf" and would be sidelined.
