After tasting Champions League elimination in midweek, Barcelona must focus on winning La Liga, needing to pick up 15 of the last 18 points to secure a second straight league title with six games to go. The first match on the road to the trophy is at Camp Nou, against Valencia, on Sunday.
The last two weeks have completely changed the mood within the team, and coach Luis Enrique looks to be struggling to find the best team. Injuries have played a part, with three defenders and one midfielder out. But one of those players, full-back Aleix Vidal, has been cleared from a hamstring injury and is available for selection. With Dani Alves on a terrible run of form, Vidal could find a starting place on his return.
But Enrique has two worrisome names on the list of doubts: Lionel Messi reportedly has had a muscle injury for more than a month, but he is fighting through it and the club continues to deny it. He will probably give it a go on Sunday, but only the last training session will confirm his presence or not.
The other doubt is Neymar, who suffered a knock to his ankle at the Calderón, and is going through intense treatment after training since the game to be available for the Valencia encounter.
All signs point to Messi and Neymar being ready and starting, but we still need to wait for confirmation on Sunday when the lineup comes out.
