Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto is set to be out for three to four weeks after having his appendix removed. Vietto, 21, had a slow start to his Atletico career after joining from Villarreal for €20 million in the summer, but came off the bench in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid to score a late equaliser in what was his first goal for the club.
Aymeric Laporte would not be considered by Spain if he played his club football in Germany, according to Borussia Monchengladbach defender Alvaro Dominguez. Laporte was suggested as a defensive option following Sergio Ramos and Inigo Martinez's withdrawals from La Roja's party for games against Luxembourg and Ukraine, despite representing France at youth level, while Dominguez has not added to his two caps since leaving Atletico Madrid for the Bundesliga in 2012.
