Report: Barcelona in talks with Borussia Dortmund for German star

Barcelona continue their reported search for a replacement to Pedro Rodríguez for the January transfer window, and it seems like the Blaugrana are turning to a long-time target.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants have revived their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus, who has been linked with a move to the Treble winners for several years. But now, it appears that Barça are really keen in bringing the player to Camp Nou, since they've identified the 25-year-old as the best possible option to replace current Chelsea forward Pedro Rodríguez.

The German star has always been an injury concern for potential buyers, and he has dealt with bad ankles for at least two years. But it seems like he's slowly leaving his problematic past behind in terms of physical issues, and he could be a fantastic addition to the Blaugrana squad, especially as a backup to the 'MSN' trio, or even as a starting player depending on tactical changes.

Luis Enrique likes his speed and vision, and Reus would be the option to Philippe Coutinho if the deal with the Liverpool star doesn't work out. Marco has had a solid start with new coach Thomas Tuchel at Dortmund, and he would be available to play in the Champions League for Barça since his team is playing the Europa League, which is the same case with Coutinho.

It's impossible to know whether to believe this or not, since Reus has been linked so many times and his reported market value -- €30 million -- isn't absurd. If he's indeed on the list with Coutinho and Nolito, it's just a matter of personal preference for Enrique and the scouts, and/or how negotiations go with each player. They're certainly very good choices.
