Paris Saint-Germain's David Luiz and Thiago Motta to miss UCL quarterfinal

Bad news for Paris Saint-Germain, and maybe good news for Barcelona in their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash.

During Sunday's Ligue 1 match-up between PSG and Olympique Marseille, David Luiz and Thiago Motta both injured their hamstrings. The Brazilian center-back suffered a full tear, which will sideline him from action for at least a month. Motta, on the other hand, suffered a mild strain, which will keep him out of the pitch for about 10 days.

Luiz is guaranteed to miss the entire tie between Barça and the Frech champs, while Motta is probably going to be fit for the second match which will be played at Camp Nou on April 21, although this is not a certainty because hamstrings are always tricky.

As of right now, the Blaugrana only worry about Jordi Alba as a major injury issue, but the star left-back is very likely to be fit for both matches. Alba also suffers from a hamstring contusion.

Barcelona and PSG face each other for a place in the UCL semifinals on April 15 and 21.
