Haaland’s father and agent were said to be expecting 20 million each
Mino Raiola, Erling Haaland’s agent, has denied reports of hyper-inflated agent fees for the Borussia Dortmund star’s transfer.
Catalan radio had reported that Raiola and Haaland’s father were going to give FC Barcelona a list of demands following their meeting with club president Joan Laporta last week.
According to the report, they would ask for a 20 million euro commission for each of them, and 30 million net salary for the forward. Also, Barcelona would have to pay a transfer fee to the German club, and Haaland would only agree to move if Lionel Messi would remain at the Camp Nou.

El pare i l'agent de Haaland, Mino Raiola, van proposar aquestes xifres al Barça si volen fitxar al davanter:
Raiola - 20M€
Pare de Haaland - 20M€
Fitxa de Haaland - 30M€ nets

The news spread fast, raising eyebrows in particular over the 40 million total payment in agent’s fees, and the incredibly high salary demands.
However, Raiola himself replied to the report on his public Twitter account by saying “fake news travel quick and far.” He accompanied it with a video that overlaid the words “fake” over and and over on top of screenshots from the media reporting the news.

Raiola did not elaborate further, but perhaps his denial of these over-the-top numbers should be welcome news to clubs such as Barcelona or Real Madrid, who are desperate to add Haaland to their squad.
