The defender’s bank account took a hit
Yerry Mina has been reflecting on his time at Barcelona and recalled with a smile how he used to get a bit of a hard time in training.
The centre-back was signed from Palmeiras in January 2018 but did not last long, being sold to Everton the following summer after failing to impress.
Mina has now explained how he also lost quite a bit of money in his early days at the Camp Nou.
“They are incredible people. And so talented. When I arrived, I started betting with them as to who would score more freekicks in training.
“Then I realised they were taking €50 off me every day! The truth is those beasts put the ball wherever they want to,” he said with a big smile.

The Colombia international also added that he didn’t regret his brief time at the club as he learned a lot. He managed just six appearances under Ernesto Valverde before being sold for €30.25 million.
