The Arsenal striker is tempted by the Camp Nou
Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly awaiting a move to Barcelona. Aubameyang’s long-term future at Arsenal has been up in the air for a while now and rumors to Barcelona aren’t a new thing.
The links between Aubameyang and Barca go back to earlier this year in the winter transfer window when Barcelona ended up signing Martin Braithwaite instead. The thought process has been that Lautaro Martinez is the move this summer, but delays in the negotiations and a lack of sufficient resources from Barcelona seem to be holding things up.
Aubameyang is by far the worst that Barcelona could do this summer for the short term in their attack. Thinking of him as a plan B isn’t entirely fair to his talent. Although his age makes things a bit less than optimal for the price Barca will likely have to pay.
