The youngsters shone in Sunday’s playoff win
Barcelona B starlets Ilaix Moriba and Konrad de la Fuente came in for big praise from boss García Pimienta after Sunday’s dramatic 3-2 promotion playoff win.
Konrad scored twice in the victory over Valladolid Promesas, while Ilaix picked up an impressive assist to continue his fine season at Barca.

García Pimienta spoke about both players after the win and made it clear he can see them going on and playing for the first team at Barcelona.
“Both Ilaix and Konrad have been decisive. Ilaix has a lot of merit because he is a first-year youth, but Konrad is third, and in such an important match they have shown that they have an incredible future.
“Today they have given a brutal performance. They have made a very complete match. This shows that they are competitive, winners, with Barça DNA and with a future to be in this club. Hopefully in the future they will be first team players.”

Barcelona B go on to play Badajoz in the second round of the playoffs on Thursday, with the winner set to progress to Sunday’s final. Badajoz beat Athletic B on penalties to set up the tie.
