Barcelona have reportedly decided they will send Carles Alena out on loan in January but the deal will only be until the end of the season and will not include a purchase option.
Sport report on Sunday that Barca have decided they do not want to sell the 21-year-old but are agreed he needs minutes in order to continue his development.
Both the club and the player have now agreed that a loan move is the best plan, and they are hopeful of finding a La Liga club for him to join on a temporary basis.
Real Betis, Celta Vigo, Getafe and Granada are all credited with an interest in Alena, although previous reports have suggested Tottenham are keen too.
Alena’s only appearance for Barca this season came on the opening day, and he has found it difficult to even make the squad since.
He has previously spoken of his determination to succeed at the Camp Nou, and a loan move would at least offer him the opportunity to show what he can do out on the pitch.
