Another injury for the champions to contend with
Barcelona have offered an update on Sergi Roberto after he was forced off at half-time of Saturday’s 3-0 win over Eibar.
The 27-year-old started the game at right-back but had to be replaced by Nelson Semedo at the break due to a knock.
Here’s the latest.
“Medical test on Saturday afternoon have revealed that Sergi Roberto has strained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee. His presence in future training sessions will depend on how the injury develops.”

Barcelona’s update suggests it is not a serious injury but they may be without Roberto for Tuesday’s trip to Slavia Prague. The club then have a week off until their next fixture, due to El Clasico being postponed, with Real Valladolid the next visitors to Camp Nou on October 29.
