Luis Suárez and La Celeste look to book a place in the semifinal
The fourth and last quarterfinal in the 2019 Copa America will hope to live up to an awesome Last Eight round so far, with 2011 winners Uruguay hoping to continue their march to the Final behind a great tournament so far by the attacking duo of Barcelona’s Luis Suárez and PSG’s Edinson Cavani.
Suárez-Cavani has always been Uruguay’s hopes of winning over the last decade, especially since Diego Forlán retired, but this specific Copa América has been a clear example: during a tournament where the rest of the team, especially the midfield, has struggled to live up to its reputation and the strike partners have pretty much been the reason for every good thing Uruguay has done so far.
Against a Peru team that was destroyed by Brazil in the last group stage game but still has enough talent to cause anyone problems, Suárez and Cavani once again need to be at their best to lead La Celeste and carry them to the semifinal for a rematch with Chile and Arturo Vidal.
This is going to be good.
