Barcelona have long been rumored to have targeted Valencia’s João Cancelo as their new right-back for the future, but Chelsea could hijack the move. According to Duncan Castles writing for Yahoo Sports, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte considers Cancelo to be one of his top targets, along with Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
Diario Sport is reporting the same thing, adding that Barcelona already had some sort of agreement in place to bring Cancelo to the Camp Nou but that could well, be canceled.
Castles also wrote that Barcelona would not be able to win a bidding war for the Portuguese player against big-money Chelsea unless the Catalans made a big sale in the upcoming transfer market.
