The Frenchman takes over from Philippe Coutinho
Barcelona confirmed on Friday that Antoine Griezmann has been handed the No. 7 shirt ahead of the new season.
The Frenchman’s always made it pretty clear the No. 7 is his favorite and has now taken over the number from Philippe Coutinho.

Griezmann also took to Twitter to thank Coutinho for letting him switch to the No. 7. He wrote: “I want to thank @Phil_Coutinho, who in addition to being a great player is a great teammate. # ViscaBarça # Grie7mann.”
There’s no mention yet of which number Coutinho will wear next season. There’s a few up for grabs, including the No. 14 he wore when he first arrived.
