The team got off to a great start
Sergio Busquets says Barcelona are feeling good after Sunday’s 4-0 win over Villarreal at the Camp Nou.
Ronald Koeman’s side got off to the perfect start to the new La Liga season with a comfortable win over Unai Emery’s men.
Two goals from Ansu Fati, a Lionel Messi penalty and a Pau Torres own goal did the damage for the hosts, and Busquets seemed pretty happy after the full-time whistle.
“It was a good game for us, especially in the first half, we were superior, created a lot of chances, scored four goals. We dropped our intensity a little in the second half, but we kept a clean sheet. They made it a bit more difficult, played through the middle but we have good sensations for the first game. We’re close to the team we want to be.”
The midfielder also urged calm over Ansu Fati after yet another eye-catching performance from the 17-year-old Spain international.
“We have to be calm with Ansu Fati, we know how young he is, we know how good he is, we can’t get carried away. He has great team-mates alongside him and he’ll learn a lot from that. The sky’s the limit for him.”
Busquets started the match alongside Frenkie de Jong in midfield and played 78 minutes before being replaced late on by new signing Miralem Pjanic.
