The German had knee surgery in August

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen says his recovery from a knee injury is going “very well” after going under the knife last month.

The Germany international is not expected back until the end of next month at the earliest and has been asked about his injury at a recent promotional event.

“It’s going well, the knee is doing very well,” he told reporters and also went on to speak about life at the Camp Nou under new manager Ronald Koeman.

“There have been some changes and we have to create a new group, with new ‘feelings’. The final goal has not changed and we will fight for everything. We need people to understand the changes and be in perfect shape during the season because it will be very long.

“It is true that at first it was difficult for us to adapt to the restrictions, but we have to accept it and try to manage it in the best way possible”.

There’s no clear update yet on when Ter Stegen is set to return. Neto has taken his place in goal in the meantime and kept a clean sheet on Sunday in Barcelona’s La Liga opener against Villarreal.
