The coach has looked forward to tomorrow’s game
Celta Vigo boss Oscar Garcia has been talking about the prospect of taking on Barcelona in La Liga on Thursday night.
The hosts have a strong record against Barcelona at Balaidos, and are unbeaten in their last five home league meetings with the Catalan giants.
The two teams played out a 2-2 draw the last time they met in June, but Garcia played down the importance of past results in his pre-match press conference.
“We know that the game is going to require a lot of concentration and above all a lot of personality. We play against a very difficult opponent who is going to fight for all the titles and have a lot of danger.
“Each game is a story that has yet to be written and what happened before is of little use. They have another coach, a new scheme with double pivot and we both have new players and others who have left.
“You can play a tactically perfect game and in an oversight or a genius they can decide the game for you. Any player who comes off the bench at Barcelona can change the match. They have a very good squad.”
Celta have started the season with two draws and a win. They only victory came in a 2-1 win over Valencia with Iago Aspas scoring twice.
