The club are open to offers in January, apparently
Paco Alcacer’s future is in the headlines this morning with Sport reporting he is a wanted man, with both Inter Milan and Napoli keen on bringing him in.
The report states the two Serie A side are closely monitoring his situation at the club with a view to a deal when the transfer window reopens in January.
Apparently Alcacer does not really feature in Ernesto Valverde’s plans for the season and the club will listen to offers in January.
Alcacer has made just one start this season and, following the arrivals of Ousmane Dembele and Gerard Deulofeu, may once again find game time difficult to come by.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Dembele look set to be Valverde’s first choice, backed up by Deulofeu, leaving Alcacer facing very few minutes for a second consecutive season.
Alcacer missed the win over Juventus due to illness but is back in training and there is a chance he could feature against Getafe on Saturday.
Valverde is expected to rotate in the midst of three games in a week, and with Suarez looking in need of a rest, Alcacer may get a rare chance to impress, if he is fit and available.
Meanwhile, both Inter and Napoli want to add to their attacking options and Alcacer may be tempted by the offer of more regular football.
