Barcelona rumors: New deal for Iniesta, Goretzka a target and Alcacer to leave in January

The window is closed but the gossip keeps coming

Iniesta set for new two-year deal

Today’s rumors start off with Andres Iniesta who will reportedly be offered a new two-year deal, according to Marca.

The plan is to hand him the new deal, which can also be extended on an annual basis, the club are also hopeful he will take on a non-playing role when he retires.

There will be clauses in his new deal, however, that will allow him to leave if he is unhappy, although it seems a move to another top European club is out of the question.

The report states Iniesta would be allowed to leave if a club in China, Qatar or the United States came in for him, or even his former club Albacete.

Goretzka to chose between Barca and Bayern

Over in Germany the talk is all about Leon Goretzka who is in the final year of his contract at Schalke and looking as though he will leave next summer.

Sport Bild report that Barcelona want the Germany international and while he had initially agreed a deal with Bayern, he could still move to Camp Nou.

Barca are keen to bring in a top class midfielder and are well aware Goretzka can leave for free next summer, while the players wants a move to boost his international chances.

Alcacer to leave in January?

Over at Mundo Deportivo the news is that Paco Alcacer could leave Barcelona as early as January.

The striker simply has not convinced Ernesto Valverde and may get few opportunities to change his new coach’s mind.

Things could change between now and the winter but at the moment, Alcacer could leave if he continues on the sidelines and decides to wants out.
