Could we see Barcelona play in the US or China?
La Liga president Javier Tebas has said discussions are underway which could see some Spanish top flight matches played overseas.
According to the Financial Times, Liga games could be played in the United States and China, which would boost the clubs’ revenues.
Tebas has said he supports the idea with the report also stating matches could be played outside of Spain “as early as next year”.
“La Liga is global entertainment and we want to grow the international appeal of La Liga,” said Tebas.
“As part of that effort we are discussing the option of playing some of the league matches outside of Spain.
“These discussions are still in early stages, but as La Liga, we support the idea.”

The idea of playing matches in different countries is not a new one, but it is controversial and it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
The Premier League considered a similar proposal previously in 2008 when the idea of playing a ‘39th game’ was considered but eventually scrapped after huge criticism.
Speaking recently, Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore said the clubs do want to do it, but explained he can not see it happening in the near future.
"I've got the scars all the way up my back (from the last time)," he said.
"Look, I may be at the Premier League for five, 10, 15 or 20 years. There is no plan to do it.
"Is there still a burning desire? The clubs would like to do it but we are also realistic that says until the fan, political and media reaction is any more warm towards it, it won't happen. If it did happen it wouldn't be a 39th game.
"I think there would be a desire to do a round of fixtures internationally but there is no prospect of it happening any time soon or in anybody's realistic timeframe.
"We have no time set for it but I am a man of belief. I thought it was the right thing to do I, still do."

Will Spanish clubs have more success? While the business aspect may well appeal, for obvious reasons, it’s still difficult to imagine fans being willing to accept their team playing competitive matches overseas.
