The midfielder will sign a new deal, say the Italian giants
Juventus have distanced themselves from speculation linking the club with a move for Andres Iniesta with chief executive Beppe Marotta saying the midfielder will continue at Camp Nou.
Iniesta’s future has been the subject of some discussion recently with Josep Maria Bartomeu having claimed a new contract is all agreed, until Iniesta insisted that was not quite the case.
Juve have been linked with a move but have downplayed their reported interest in the Spain international with Marotta saying he is an admirer, but can’t see him leaving the Blaugrana.
“Iniesta is an amazing footballer but he is contracted with Barcelona,” said Marotta.
“He is going to sign a contract extension with them as well, he is on very good terms with the board and he is a very important footballer for his club so I don’t see Iniesta leaving Barcelona in the future, I think he will stay at Barcelona.”

Although it is largely expected that Iniesta will continue at Barcelona, until the deal is signed, a degree of uncertainty will remain.
Iniesta rolled back the years last night with a classy performance against Juventus, to show there is still plenty more to come from him, let’s hope a new deal can be agreed soon.
