VICTORY!
Barcelona reached 18 games without a loss in La Liga, extending the longest unbeaten streak in the major European leagues thanks to a 6-1 victory at Camp Nou against Sporting Gijón. A pretty easy match for the Blaugrana ended with a strong result and a good performance. Three more points.
FIRST HALF
It was a comfortable first period for the Blaugrana, who dominated possession and easily found spaces and chances inside a leaky Sporting defense. Barça scored three goals, including a spectacular volley from Luis Suárez, and apart from a defensive lapse that ended with Gijón scoring a goal on the counter, it was an easy 45 minutes for Barça.
At halftime, the Catalan giants were in control and could even score a few more goals to turn the win into a blowout in the second half.
SECOND HALF
Paco Alcácer scored just four minutes into the second half, and Barça guaranteed the victory. Neymar then scored an amazing free kick, Rakitic added a fantastic goal of his own, and Barça confirmed the victory with a few second half goals. Easy night in Catalonia.
